Every pen in this shop is put together by hand, one bead at a time.
The beads are the whole point. Glass that has been crackled, spiralled, flecked with gold leaf or drawn out into lampwork petals while it was still molten — then stacked between antique brass spacers until the pen has a shape of its own. Some are quiet: frosted white, porcelain blue, a single teal orb at the centre. Some are not: hot pink against green, amber lit like honey in a jar.
No two are alike, and we mean that literally
Because each pen is assembled by hand from beads that were themselves made by hand, no two come out the same. The glass carries its own bubbles, swirls and depth. Two pens built from the same beads in the same order will still differ. The one that arrives is yours alone.
Made in small batches
Each design exists in very limited quantities — often only a handful of pieces. When a design sells out it may not come back, because the beads that made it were themselves one-off.
Meant to be used
These are working pens, not ornaments. Each one is a ballpoint with black ink, 5.5 inches (14 cm) long and light enough to write with all day. It just happens to look like something worth leaving out on the desk.
